San Francisco residents that are 16 and 17 years old would also be eligible to serve on all boards and commissions if Prop C and Prop G (VOTE 16) this November.
Yes on Prop C continues what California started. Governor Newsom signed SB 225 (Durazo), allowing all Californians, including aspiring citizens, to serve on state commissions, boards, and advisory bodies. Our State does not succeed despite diversity, but because of it. Inclusion creates new opportunities aspiring citizens to contribute to our society.
More Inclusive language fosters more inclusive representation. A Yes on Prop C adds language that reflects diverse genders and sexual orientations. Our City charter should reflect our City values. So should our commissions.
Your contribution helps Yes on Prop C recruit more to serve San Francisco commissions.
